Program Description

Event Description

The color red widely symbolically represents the blood shed by enslaved African ancestors, making red beverages staple menu items for African American Emancipation celebrations.

To celebrate Juneteenth, pick up this take-home kit for a recipe by Nicole A. Taylor from Watermelon & red birds: a cookbook for Juneteenth and black celebrations, along with the supplies to make a batch of ginger beer.
