Join professor and author Jim Willis for a reading from his new book, Tinkertown, a blended personal memoir and history of the early decades of Midwest City and Tinker AFB. 

Tinkertown: A Wheatfield, an Airbase, and Us tells the unique story of the founding and first three decades of both Tinker AFB and Midwest City, Oklahoma, and the role its founder, W.P. "Bill" Atkinson played in harvesting a city out of cropland in 1942.

Jim Willis is a 1964 graduate of Midwest City High School and is a writer who has authored 18 books. He holds a PH.D. in Journalism from the University of Missouri.
