Program Description

Event Description

Primary sources are tangible evidence of a historical event and one of the very best ways to understand history.  Historical primary sources include items such as photographs, maps, speeches, newspapers, diaries, letters, posters, artifacts, and a variety of other items created for or generated by the event.  Photographs are very powerful primary sources for viewing and understanding history.  This take-home kit includes 40 photographs curated by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum as a pictorial narrative of the Holocaust.  Use these photographs to reflect upon this tragic period of world history.

Content Warning:  Mature themes depicting “the final solution to the Jewish question” during World War II.

This take home kit is recommended for adults only and was developed in accordance with education standards from The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.

Kits may be picked up at the Downtown Library via Curbside Delivery or inside at the Circulation Desk beginning May 12, 2025 through May 22, 2025.

Disclaimer(s)

We can only guarantee one kit per registration.  Please register individually to ensure that kits are appropriately distributed.  Special notes should not be used for additional registrations.
