Program Description

Event Description

Come and get Weather Wise with the VORTEX-SE (Verification of the Origins of Rotation in Tornadoes EXperiment South-East) Outreach and Engagement program.  This program supports communities at risk from tornadoes, especially people living in structures that are more vulnerable during storms. By working with the public, the National Weather Service, and emergency management agencies, they help identify and share safe shelter options. This reduces the risk of injury and loss of life and helps lessen the impact on local jobs, public health, and property values.

Participants will learn to be aware, prepared, and safe.
