Program Description
Event Description
In November, we celebrate Native American Heritage Month.
There are many American Indian Tribes with a long history of basket weaving. These beautiful baskets are created with complex designs, materials and using a variety of techniques. We invite you to experience the process by learning how to weave a simple over and under wicker weave basket. Registration is required for the limited supply of basket weaving kits. Pick up one of these kits to learn more about the history of basket weaving among Native Communities, and make your own miniature basket.
Kits may be picked up at the Downtown Library via Curbside Delivery or inside at the Circulation Desk beginning November 10, 2025 through November 18, 2025.
