Sharing in playtimes is an excellent way to help children build social skills, promote learning and discover that the library is a destination for fun! Join us on the 3rd Saturday for sensory play, stories and songs!

A story time for the entire family at your Downtown Library! Join us as skilled librarians introduce little ones to the library and show parents/caregivers invaluable information on reading readiness and creating excitement about reading.

Whether you enjoy knitting, crocheting, cross-stitching, or other types of handiwork, bring it in and join us for conversation and creativity. Bring a friend or make new friends while sharing projects, tips and advice with fellow crafters.

Volunteers will be available to help children practice their reading skills. Kids are welcome to pick out a book to read to the volunteers or follow along as the volunteers read to them. We'll provide the books and the reading buddy!

Join us for rhymes, songs and stories! This bilingual program puts early literacy skills into practice through stories and play! ¡Tendremos rimas, canciones y cuentos!

Join us at the Downtown Library for Storytime at 10 AM and arts & crafts throughout the day! Visit the Maurice Sendak exhibition to see many of his famous works. Exhibit runs from June 15th to July 9th.  

Come explore different Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math topics in our STEAM Saturday program. This program gives kids a chance to play and build with a variety of educational materials, tools, and toys.

Explore science, technology, engineering, art, and/or math (STEAM) in this hands-on program. We'll be creating something fun and unique with paper circuits, and learning about electricity and conductivity!
