Start your summer reading adventure with a kick-off party at the Village Library! We’ll have alpacas visiting from Magnolia Farms, along with games, activities and crafts.

Join us every Monday in June and July as we read stories, dance, sing songs, and play! Little ones will be introduced to early literacy concepts while playing and interacting with other kids their age.

Let's celebrate the beginning of summer reading with a dance party! Children become reading-ready as they dance, sing, and laugh.

Participants will learn how to grow all the ingredients to make their own salsa including tomatoes, garlic, onion, cilantro and peppers. Participants will be able to take home their own jar of salsa!

Hey there, young cowpokes! Ready for a rootin' tootin' summer of reading fun? Saddle up for this adventure where a storytelling cowboy shares tools of the trade and how to survive the Wild West.

This isn't just any reading program – it's your ticket to the dusty trails, thrilling tales and the real-life legends of the West.

Age Range: 6-12 (approximate)

Paint your own fireworks art in watercolors! No previous painting practice required-- kit includes materials and detailed instructions, plus a list of library resources for further information and reading. 

Target Age: Preschool and school-age children 

Defend yourself from a horde of ferocious dragons in this engineering-based program for children. Create, build, and test your own anti-dragon defense system against a variety of dragon hides.

Age range: Prek to 2^nd/ Emerging reader
