Whether your New Year’s resolution is to improve your health, learn a new skill or read more, the Library is hosting a program that may motivate you to do just that! The Metropolitan Library System will kick off our winter reading challenge for adults on January 1, 2023.
Adults who read or listen to five books between January 1 and February 28, 2023, will earn a library-branded item and a coupon for three (3) free chicken tenders from Slim Chickens* as a goal prize AND be entered in a drawing for an exclusive prize pack** that includes a floor magnifier lamp, and a cozy library branded blanket.

HOW DO I PARTICIPATE?
Keep track of the books you read from January 1 - February 28, 2023, by writing the title and author down after you check off the category. Book titles may be used only once per card, and only one entry per person may be turned in.

HOW DO I EARN A PRIZE AND QUALIFY FOR A DRAWING GIFT?
Check off five book categories and write the title and author next to them. Turn in your card, and you'll earn a library-branded prize and a coupon for three free chicken tenders from Slim Chickens *while supplies last*, and be entered into a drawing* for a Prize Pack that includes a floor magnifier lamp and a cozy library branded blanket.
HOW DO I SUBMIT MY BINGO CARD TO EARN A PRIZE AND QUALIFY FOR A DRAWING?
Submit your bingo card in one of the following ways:
- DROP OFF your bingo card (or a copy) at any Metropolitan Library On-Site Library.
- RETURN your bingo card (or a copy) in your Library by Mail bag.
ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY 6PM ON SUNDAY, MARCH 19, 2023.
The fine print: Only one entry per person. Prize winners must have an adult Metropolitan Library Card that is in good standing. Metropolitan Library System staff, commissioners and their households are ineligible to win drawing prizes.

Time to grow! Check out our small collection of vegetable, herb, and flower seeds. The seed library is available before and during the 2026 growing season. Also, seed donations are accepted and welcomed!
Join us in the Village Greens to kick off our Summer Reading program! We'll have live music entertainment featuring local musician Jen Burns! We'll also have crafts and other fun activities-- all ages are welcome!
We spared no expense planning this epic Summer Reading Kickoff party! See a replica of the iconic jeep from the movie "Jurassic Park" and interact with baby dinosaurs with Jurassic Jeeps Oklahoma.
Teens will help brighten the library by planting flowers in our outdoor planters. Then, they will get a to take home a mini planting kit to grow something of their own.
Warr Acres Library Summer Reading Kickoff
Get ready to RAWR into a dino-mite summer of reading and activities at the Warr Acres Library!
Prepare for your citizenship exam with The Opportunities Industrialization Center of Oklahoma County (OIC). This class requires participants to be able to speak and understand conversational English as well as have some English writing skills.
