Whether your New Year’s resolution is to improve your health, learn a new skill or read more, the Library is hosting a program that may motivate you to do just that! The Metropolitan Library System will kick off our winter reading challenge for adults on January 1, 2023.
Adults who read or listen to five books between January 1 and February 28, 2023, will earn a library-branded item and a coupon for three (3) free chicken tenders from Slim Chickens* as a goal prize AND be entered in a drawing for an exclusive prize pack** that includes a floor magnifier lamp, and a cozy library branded blanket.
*While supplies last

HOW DO I PARTICIPATE?
Keep track of the books you read from January 1 - February 28, 2023, by writing the title and author down after you check off the category. Book titles may be used only once per card, and only one entry per person may be turned in.

HOW DO I EARN A PRIZE AND QUALIFY FOR A DRAWING GIFT?
Check off five book categories and write the title and author next to them. Turn in your card, and you'll earn a library-branded prize and a coupon for three free chicken tenders from Slim Chickens *while supplies last*, and be entered into a drawing* for a Prize Pack that includes a floor magnifier lamp and a cozy library branded blanket.
HOW DO I SUBMIT MY BINGO CARD TO EARN A PRIZE AND QUALIFY FOR A DRAWING?
Submit your bingo card in one of the following ways:
- DROP OFF your bingo card (or a copy) at any Metropolitan Library On-Site Library.
- RETURN your bingo card (or a copy) in your Library by Mail bag.
ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY 6PM ON SUNDAY, MARCH 19, 2023.
The fine print: Only one entry per person. Prize winners must have an adult Metropolitan Library Card that is in good standing. Metropolitan Library System staff, commissioners and their households are ineligible to win drawing prizes.

Want to be a more confident reader? Build "pawsitive" self-esteem and improve your reading skills while reading aloud to certified therapy dogs at the library.
This program has 2 sessions. Please register for either 6-6:30 pm OR 6:30-7 pm. Each reader must be registered individually.
This program is intended for children learning to read and practicing reading aloud.

Outreach to local high school - Amber Tytenicz, school librarian is teacher contact. Utilizing OSU extension 4-H programs: Clover Code and Copable - working with students on communication skills and coping/mental health strategies
Join us as we read stories, sing songs, play, and move and groove. Littles will naturally gain pre literacy skills as they have fun. Caretakers will have the opportunity to connect with other adults. And magical experiences will be had by all.

Join us for a storytime at your neighborhood library! Skilled librarians will introduce little ones to the library and show parents and caregivers invaluable information on reading readiness and create excitement about reading. Connect with others while enjoying stories, songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and more!
