1-2-3 Play with Me

Playing with your baby or toddler is not only important for bonding but is also an educational experience for your child. We are providing a special time for you to come to the library and spend one-on-one time playing with your little one. A different community resource professional will be available each week to answer your parenting questions during playtime. Playtime will be followed by a short storytime just for you and your baby. 

Importance of Play

Playing is important for health brain development.  Playing allows children to use their creativity while developing their imagination, dexterity, and strength (physical, cognitive, and emotional).  It is through play, children at a very early age engage and interact with the world around them.  1-2-3 Play with Me will help you engage in play with your child through multiple different avenues.

Take-Home Kits

Looking for fun and engaging ways to play with your little one at home? Our skilled Children’s Librarians have developed a special take home kit just for you! 

Our 123! Play with Me at Home! take home kits include 4 fun and engaging activities that focus on gross motor play, art exploration, puzzle creation, and music exploration. A free book and handouts are also included. These take-home kits are intended for children ages 0 - 4 and a caregiver. 

Kits are available at participating libraries this fall.
