Winter Reading Challenge

Winter Reading 2024 Book Bingo, January 1 - February 29.

January 1 - February 29, 2024

Whether your New Year’s resolution is to improve your health, learn a new skill or read more, the Library is hosting a program that may motivate you to do just that! The Metropolitan Library System will kick off Book Bingo, a winter reading challenge for adults, on January 1, 2024.

Adults who read or listen to five books between January 1 and February 29, 2024 will earn a library-branded coffee mug and a coupon for a free ice cream from the Downtown OKC location of Not Your Average Joe AND be entered in a drawing for an exclusive prize pack** that includes noise-canceling Bluetooth headphones and a library-branded item. Adults who read or listen to 25 books between January 1 and February 29, 2024 will be entered into a grand prize drawing that includes an iPad and two tickets tickets to see James Patterson during Literary Voices 2024.

How Do I Participate in Winter Reading?

Keep track of the books you read from January 1 through February 29, 2024 by writing the title and author in the matching square on the Book Bingo Card that you will turn into your local Metro Library location. Book titles may be used only once per card, and only one entry per person may be turned in.

Or your can log your books online by using Beanstack on a computer, Apple device or Android device. You'll be asked to login, but if you haven't logged your Winter Reading books or Summer Reading minutes in Beanstack before, you'll be prompted to create an account. Then you will want to register for Winter Reading 2024 to being tracking your books! If you do not register, your logged reading will not count toward earning your goal prize or entry for prize drawings.
