Program Description

Event Description

Let's continue our journey around the world - through art!

Join us each month with a new Take and Make Kit highlighting a different type of folk art from countries, territories, and people around the world. For our April trip, in honor of Middle Eastern North African Heritage Month, we will be “traveling” to Egypt! Along with information about Egypt and it's history - this Take Home kit will contain the instructions and materials needed to make a clay art piece in the style of Egyptian hieroglyphs, similar to a cartouche. A cartouche can be described as an a name plate for ancient Egyptian royalty.
