Program Description

Event Description

Join us every Wednesday in June for a GREAT DESERT ISLAND Adventure! Through a series of five STEM challenges, you will help a shipwrecked traveler survive and get back to civilization. You are welcome to attend ANY week or ALL weeks. This activity is best suited to gradeschool children and tweens ages 5-12; please sign up INDIVIDUALLY.

Our FIRST challenge will be to create a shelter to protect our lone survivor, Sir Harley Houndstooth III, from jungle animals, wind and rain.

Be sure to check out the library's collection of books or databases to learn what wild things lurk in the jungle and what life might be like on a desert island!
