Program Description

Event Description

The Edmond Library welcomes Hero Kids, the award-winning tabletop RPG for kids ages 6-9 (1st through 4th grade). If your younger child has ever wanted to learn Dungeons & Dragons, but the learning curve is daunting or the content is too mature, Hero Kids is the perfect start for their own fantasy adventures. Using only six-sided dice and kid-friendly scenarios, Hero Kids allows younger children to build and practice essential life and educational skills in an addictively fun setting. With only four kids per Game Master, children will have plenty of opportunities to

  • Develop their imagination
  • Practice math skills
  • Collaborate with teammates to accomplish a goal
  • Strategize and problem-solve with critical thinking skills
  • Exercise skills that develop communication, perseverance and resilience
  • Explore and conquer in a story and world they are helping to build for themselves

Hero Kids will have a limited registration as we bring this program on board. All adventures are stand-alone and all characters are premade. If you are interested in being a Game Master for Hero Kids or our teen D&D campaign, please email edmond@metrolibrary.org
