Program Description

Event Description

Did you know dance is a great way to improve mental and physical health? Using a combination of simple steps (rooted in street dance) with intuitive movements, learners will gain confidence and focus.

In this introductory class, students will learn a variety of movements with Hip-Hop, Freestyle, and Breaking elements. In addition to rhythm training, this class will focus on beat matching and isometric strengthening. These free classes are open to anyone interested.

Starting February 8th at 4 PM, these classes will be offered every Wednesday for six weeks at the Ralph Ellison Library. We will not meet for class on March 1st; however, classes will resume from March 8th through March 22nd.
