Program Description

Event Description

How quickly can a Zombie (ping pong ball) get to the bottom of a zip line string? If you're going to escape their clutches, you'd better know! In this challenge, kids (1) follow the design process to build a Ping-Pong ball carrier that slides quickly down a zip line string; (2) figure out how to keep something balanced; and (3) identify ways to reduce friction. For a great example built by the PBS Design Team, hit the green button on the right side of the registration page, or go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsyShX2NGFU.

Also be sure to check out all the creepy books in our collection on the walking dead...

Kits can be picked up at Northwest Library from Wednesday October 20th through Saturday October 23rd during regular library hours. Registered customers must pick up kits by Saturday 4 PM or call the library at (405) 231-8650 to make alternate pick up arrangements as any remaining kits will be made available to waitlisted customers on Sunday.
