Program Description

Event Description

Local earthworm and compost expert, Johnny B developed and ran an Organic Farm for 15 years, based on the idea of growing soil not plants. He will provide an educational hands-on program that will keep you actively engaged. He will discuss the benefits of natural gardening by recycling vegetable waste to compost . Earthworm composting is a great way to turn your food scraps into a nutrient-rich fertilizer that can be used for house and garden plants. Learn to grow great compost all winter with minimum time and maximum FUN! The program will also include a demonstration of building an earthworm composting bin.

Everyone in attendance will be entered into a drawing for an earthworm composting bin.
