Event Description

The History of Environmental Activism in Music

Join us for a musical and spoken word performance honoring Pete Seeger's 100th birthday.  This program is presented by Robert Williams of the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival and the musical duo The Rix, who have worked with Pete Seeger for many years on his project to clean up the Hudson River. The Rix is made up of the veteran folk musician/activists Rik Palieri and Rick Nestler, who won a Grammy award for his work on one of Pete’s recordings.
