Program Description
Event Description
Join us for a special Block Party celebrating Wright Library's Centennial Anniversary! The Wright Library was opened in September 1925 and still stands as the oldest continually used library building in the system. Founded through a cooperative effort between Oklahoma City and Baptist missionaries serving the Packingtown community, Wright Library has a proud and unique history.
This free family-friendly event will feature fun activities for all ages, photo ops to capture the moment, and a chance to explore the rich history of the library and the neighborhood it has served for a century. Come be part of the celebration and help honor the legacy—and the future—of this vital community cornerstone.
