Come to the library this May for a fun and relaxing activity where you can make colorful origami paper cranes! We’ll have all the supplies ready for you, including lots of pretty papers and simple instructions to help you out.

Come by to the Downtown Library and enjoy some free coffee! There will be puzzles and easy crafts available.
The OKC Mobile Market offers fresh produce to residents of Oklahoma County at no cost. We know that access to fresh fruit and vegetables is a barrier for many folks in the community, not only due to food deserts, but also the rising cost of food.

Join us for a storytime at your neighborhood library! Skilled librarians will introduce little ones to the library and show parents and caregivers invaluable information on reading readiness and create excitement about reading.
Let your imagination soar at our toddler art time! We will use an assortment of odds and ends to create our very own works of art. A librarian will be on hand to provide you with all the resources you need to spread your artistic wings!

Join us for free computer classes that will cover the basics of computer usage and navigating the internet! This is part of a series of computer classes. Attend all three or one! Registration is required. Limited space.
Playing with your baby or toddler is not only important for bonding but is also an educational experience for your child. We are providing a special time for you to come to the library and spend one-on-one time playing with your little one.
Join us every Monday and Friday that the library is open down in the first floor atrium. We have fantastic volunteer pianists playing our baby grand piano.
Need a place to play games with friends, work on your computer, or just visit? Join us for Community Room time every Wednesday from 1-3.
Join us after school for arts and crafts! Each Friday, come do a craft while you hang out with friends. We'll be doing all sorts of things, from bad art night to zines to paper mache!

It’s your move! Want to increase your memory and concentration or practice logical thinking skills? Learn how to play chess or develop your existing skills against other players in a friendly environment. Players of all abilities are welcome. Chess boards are provided and library materials are available for further learning.
Chess sets may also be checked out for in-library use at any time by visiting the information desk. This is a recurring event and takes place every Friday.
Learning how to play guitar can seem like a big hurdle, come get your foot in the door with a free beginner guitar lesson at the Southern Oaks Library! Learn the basics of chords, musical scales, strumming, and playing songs!
