Event Description

What does diversity mean in today's comic books? In this GeekCon @ Home panel, Oklahoma comic creators, Natasha Alterici (best known for the hit queer Viking fantasy "Heathen"), Jerry Bennett (Illustrator, currently drawing "Glamorella's Daughter"), Charles Martin (Creative director of Literati Press Comics & Novels and co-creator of "Glamorella's Daughter" and "We Promised Utopia"), Shelby Soto (Afro-Latina artist currently working on a scifi superhero webtoon "S. Project") along with Blue Turtle Comics (Oklahoma based comic publishing company focusing on Native American and Oklahoma themed comic books) discuss the current landscape of comics and the importance of representation and inclusion in comics and graphic novels.
