Does your family speak Portuguese or are you interested in hearing a Portuguese storytime? Bring your family to a storytime where Portuguese will be the language spoken and books will be read in Portuguese. 

Join us for a hands-on spacecraft adventure for young stargazers! We will learn about constellations, create our own star designs, and build mini constellation projectors to bring the stars indoors.

Does your kid: Love building with blocks, both tall and small? Have a ball with the duplo table? Harbor dreams of creating and tending to their own flower beds?

Come join us as we make wildflower seed bombs! Take your finished project home and throw it in an empty section of yard and see the flowers bloom in a few weeks.

Celebrate Saint Patrick's Day with this fun story and craft event.  We will read a children's story to the group based on the holiday, play some games, play some music, and put together a craft.  All supplies will be provided.

Due to the complexity of the project and the limited time available to complete it, children under 10 years old are required to have an adult or an older sibling attend the class with them to assist with the project. 

Come enjoy a relaxing afternoon of painting on mini canvases! Whether you choose to draw inspiration from the ideas provided or let your creativity run wild, the choice is yours. It's all about having fun and expressing yourself! 

Get ready to build your own universe—right inside a jar! Join us for a bright and brilliant hands-on craft where kids (ages 5–12) create swirling, glowing galaxy jars filled with stars, color, and cosmic magic.

Stop by the library to engage in hands-on experiments and exploration of various STEM topics. This is a come and go event from 2-4 pm and is intended for elementary-aged children.

Children ages 4-18 are invited to enjoy an afterschool snack/meal from 3:30-5:00 pm at Ralph Ellison Library. 

Blast off into creativity! Join us for Space Sand Art and design your own out-of-this-world masterpiece using colorful sand. From swirling galaxies to bright planets, your imagination is the limit. Perfect for young space explorers!

Boost your child's reading skills with Rocket Readers (ages 5-12)! This is an in-person event where your child can practice reading and comprehension skills one-on-one with volunteers.

This program is intended for children learning to read and practicing reading aloud.

Guest Presenter Tonya Carter will be coming to Almonte Library and kindly helping out kids with the fun art of making their very own glittery resin pen! This can be messy, and so accompanying adults are required to help children. 

Do you like spy movies? Secret codes? Mysterious missions? Try out your spy skills at the Village Library where you'll go undercover and solve puzzles while learning about real life spies and gadgets. (Solve at your own pace.)
