Here is a fun little craft, The Sugar Plate Skull. Visit the Southern Oaks Library for a fun Hispanic Heritage Month craft. We will be meeting in the library at the table near the Reference desk for this event. 

The Intermediate Tai Chi class teaches participants ways to improve their overall mind, body and spirit through a series of slow continuous movements. Beginners Tai Chi or previous Tia Chi experience is helpful.

Come to Southern Oaks Library during your Fall Break for a video gaming session for kids!

Are you a seasoned chess player looking to get in some more practice or help bring new players into the game, or a new player looking to dip their toes into the world of chess? This all ages, all skill levels program will help you do just that!

Drop by for some Scooby Dooby Doo Fun! Come read in the Scooby Doo Van!  All ages welcome. This event will be outdoors. Enjoy some awesome photo opps, read in the van, or listen to a librarian led storytime. 

It's Fall Break and time to come explore the library's video game collection! Don't bring your kids to this event because it's time to relax and act like a kid, yourself.

Playing with your baby or toddler is not only important for bonding but is also an educational experience for your child. We are providing a special time for you to come to the library and spend one-on-one time playing with your little one.

Join us every other Monday for an array of after-school activities. School-aged children and teens only!

Learn the basics of English in this class made possible by Community Literacy Centers. This introductory level class meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00-8:00pm.

Join us for a Book Adventure! Meet with other kids to discuss a great book. We will have a snack and play a game, or make a craft. The book this month is The Empty Pot by Demi. Please read the book before the program.

Exercise while having fun! Let's learn to line dance at the library. Enjoy a social activity, and get great exercise. No experience necessary. Please wear comfortable shoes.

Practice makes perfect in sports, and the same is true in school. Join us on Wednesdays to practice reading with a volunteer or get help with your homework.

Week 3 of TeenTober is Technology and Gaming. Join us for an hour of boardgames to observe the importance of collaboration and critical thinking. 

This is a TeenTober event, and only available to guests ages 12-18.
