August is Wellness Month! This kit has activities and a checklist of things you can do to challenge yourself to improve your overall health. Recommended for ages 15 and up.

Have you always wanted to explore creative writing but never had the chance? Pick up one of our creative writing chapbooks filled with creative writing exercises meant to strengthen your creative muscles!

It can be difficult to take a moment to stop, slow down, and focus on something that’s good for our well-being. Pick up one of our monthly mindfulness journals filled with prompts to help you focus on your mental health! 

The dog days of summer have hit the library! Come see if you can sniff out all the pups and learn to identify some different dog breeds!

If you find them all, you get a prize!

The Southern Oaks Library welcomes the community to join in spreading kindness throughout the year. A kindness calendar will be available each month for library guests to pick up in person or available curbside.

Stop by the library to "adopt" an affirmation animal that will help guide you through the school year!

Bookish book bags are ready! Visit the Ralph Ellison library to pick up your Book Bag!! Bags are ready the last Monday of every month and you have a week to pick them up!

Love fair food? Can't get enough sweets and snacks? Pick up this kit to create your own fair food favorites. ​Kit contains clay, pastels, and other supplies to create tiny versions of some of your favorite fair foods!

Let's create a souvenir with history. Based off items in the library's historic collections, these pennants take us back the State Fair of the 1940s! 

Step right up to fun at the library! Pick up your State Fair Passport and explore our tables full of fair-themed activities. Each time you complete an activity, you’ll earn a stamp in your passport.
