Come play at the Warr Acres Library!

Spoticus, the Metropolitan Library System's friendly Dalmatian mascot, turns 22 on August 29th! Come to the library to say hi to Spoticus and celebrate him! 

There will be crafts, coloring sheets, and cupcakes.

Chess sets may also be checked out for in-library use at any time by visiting the information desk. This is a recurring event and takes place every Friday.

In spite of the blazing heat, fall garden preparation is in full swing! Fall is a good time to plant wildflower seeds, as well. Come check out our small collection of vegetable, herb, and flower seeds. We welcome seed donations, too!

We are celebrating International Dot Day at the library! Wassily Kandinsky and Yayoi Kusama are two artists known for using dots; plus there are many pointillism artists to be inspired by.

So much more than books! Join us as a librarian introduces little ones to the library and shows parents/caregivers how to create excitement about reading. Connect with others while enjoying rhymes, songs, books, and crafts.

These encouraging sessions for both current and prospective homeschool parents will meet the first Monday of every month at 7 pm next to the Warr Acres Fireplace.

Please join us on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 4PM for LEGO Club. Use your imagination and create your own design or participate in our monthly construction challenge. We supply the LEGO blocks, you bring the creativity.

Join us for a building extravaganza at the library! Stop by our different stations to free build using a variety of blocks, including LEGOs, jumbo LEGOs, K'nex, magnetic tiles, Lincoln logs and so much more!
