Event Description

Place a hold on a copy of A NEW DAY by Brad Meltzer or use the provided link to listen to the author reading his own book. Your take home kit will include several fun and related LITERACY activities to celebrate NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) plus a great "CATURDAY" origami cat project! If you're traveling for Thanksgiving, this will be the perfect take-along; just add crayons, markers or colored pencils!

Enjoy a brand new book written by the bestselling author of Ordinary People Change the World, Brad Meltzer, and illustrated by the Caldecott Medal-winning creator of Beekle, Dan Santat. This big-hearted story of KINDNESS centers around Sunday, who feeling unappreciated as a day of the week, quits. And so the other days of the week have no choice but to advertise: "Wanted: a new Day." A long line of hopeful candidates show up to tryouts, but ultimately it is the GRATITUDE of one little girl who makes a calendar’s worth of difference!

Kits can be picked up at Northwest Library from Wednesday, November 17th, through Saturday, November 20th. Registered customers must pick up kits by Saturday at 5:00 PM or call the library at (405) 231-8650 to make alternate pick up arrangements, as any remaining kits will be made available to waitlisted customers on Sunday.
