Program Description

Event Description

Ever experience a brush of something against your arm that gives you goosebumps? Or hear a particular story about a haunted place that causes the hair to stand up on the back of your neck?

If you enjoy hearing about hauntings and want to experience some spine tingling accounts, join us with author Jeff Provine as he discusses his latest books:

HAUNTED OKLAHOMA explores history and legends all across the Sooner State from the Spooklight that has haunted northeastern Oklahoma since before Route 66, the Wolfman of Lawton, the Civil War cemetery near Checotah; and to the mysterious phantom that terrified Fairview for two months in 1919.

SECRET OKLAHOMA CITY shares the stories you may not hear in History class but probably should! Learn about the Chinese Tunnels that housed hundreds of immigrant workers underground; and visit the Overholser Mansion and see if the lady of the house is still in - sixty years after her death!

This event will be a Zoom presentation. (Once registered, an email will be sent providing specific links for Zoom presentation.)

This event is part of Paranormal Fest. Make sure to check out our other events, all throughout the month of October. To see our full line up go to www.metrolibrary.org/paranormalfest
