Defend yourself from a horde of ferocious dragons in this engineering-based program for children. Create, build, and test your own anti-dragon defense system against a variety of dragon hides.

Do you ever see the kids in your life come home with a cool art project and miss the time when you got to make cool art projects? Well they don't get to have all the fun!

Test your instincts against a perilous adventure of the type only found in stories. This otherworldly program will be a combination of games, survival tasks, and other adventurous fun.

Exercise while having fun! Let's learn to line dance at the library. Learn basic, and advanced dance steps with dance instruction Gene Fowler. Enjoy a social activity, and get great exercise. No experience necessary.

No one wants to be a bully! Learn how to help prevent behaviors that actively or passively encourage bullying. Practice skills that help diffuse common situations you may face and know how you can stand up for yourself and others. 

This months Movie Night! is inspired by the Juneteenth Holiday. A holiday to celebrate and commemorate the emancipation of enslaved people in the US.  

Explore with all five of your senses in this fully hands-on program where you will navigate through different stations to complete the sensory scavenger hunt and be named Adventurer of the Summer!

Learn about the complicated history of Juneteenth with researcher and librarian, Phillip Tolbert.

Celebrate Juneteenth at Southern Oaks Library! Children can attend a special Storytime provided by Thick Descriptions in the children's area. Attend a Poetry Reading provided by poets from the Society of Urban Poets in Oklahoma City.

Adventure Movie Sunday's continue with some of the smartest, bravest women of the 1960's!

Target Age: school-age children 

Adventures can be exciting! Let's make sure we prepare well for it. Join us on June 20th at 3pm for our DIY Survival Kit program. All participants will be able to create their very own survival kit with the various items available.

Prepare to be spooked and have your wits and logic put to the test in this horror adventure game full of challenges inspired by STEM and real-world forensic techniques.
