Kids ages 5-12 will learn about the famous action artist Jackson Pollock and his abstract paint slingin’, large-scale masterpieces! We will get our hands dirty making acrylic paint and string paintings in Pollock's style.

Play is an important aspect of early childhood development and an excellent way to prepare children for school and beyond.

Do you love painting, drawing, sculpting, or just being creative? Then join us on the 2nd Friday of every month at 2PM to learn about a new art method or material!

Adults16+ Come join us in creating wave bracelets. These use a combination of metal rings and beads. There will be a variety of colors to choose from so you can customize your own.

Interested in knitting or learning how to knit?

Teens, join us and learn acrylic painting techniques! This month, we will be painting a tropical hibiscus flower. You will leave with a completed painting.

Kids ages 5-10 will be transported through a magical art experience using florescent paints and black lights.

Did you know you could use wire with macrame? Come to the Choctaw Library and learn how to create a beautiful bangle with just some wire and a simple square knot. 
 

Adults! Enjoy a nice relaxing hour at the library creating beautiful and unique clay artwork. Register now to join us at the Southern Oaks Library on Saturday, August 9, from 3:00-4:00pm.
