Join us for a fun and relaxing guided painting experience! Our skilled instructor will walk you through creating your own masterpiece step by step, even if you've never picked up a paintbrush before.

Join us this summer for a colorful adventure as we explore the wonders of rocks and colors! In this interactive program, kids will craft exciting rock creations and uncover hidden treasures.

Children will learn about patterns, textures, and nature while creating personal mosaic pieces using materials like rocks, beans, seeds, shells, twigs, and other natural elements.

Have you visited our Kindness Rock Garden? Now you can add your own hand-painted rock to it!

All materials provided. 

Bring your own project and materials and knit, crochet, or sew your way through the afternoon with members of the community who share your enthusiasm for crafts. All types of fiber arts welcome!

Each year there is a National Challenge to walk 100 miles in 100 days. Do you want to participate in a self-directed challenge and learn about great books and music to listen to while walking?

Exercise while having fun! Let's learn to line dance at the library. Learn basic, and advanced dance steps with dance instruction Gene Fowler. Enjoy a social activity, and get great exercise. No experience necessary.

Come together and create! During Summer Reading, we will have special crafts on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from 2-3pm.

Have an idea for a comic, but not sure where to start? This program will show the steps of designing characters, writing scripts with strong beats, and laying out pages, everything you need to know to get your comic started. 

Come for the lemonade, stay for the games, crafts, and activities! We'll bring out our Nintendo Switch and compete in Mario Kart tournaments, play Exploding Kittens, do puzzles together, and more! For ages 12-18.

Eric of Literati Press and JEO Creations is leading a discussion and workshop on how to draw and render “Dynamic Anatomy” as influenced by masters such as Burne Hogarth, Time Sale, Jack Kirby, Mark Silvestri and more!

Are you an adult who enjoys coloring? Have a nice social visit with other adults and bring your coloring supplies! We will also have some coloring sheets and art supplies available. 

Visit us at the Choctaw Library to make faux cloisonne bookmarks using resin, wire, and wooden bookmarks!

Early June is the time to get in the very last of your warm season seeds in the ground. Last call for okra and squash! Come check out our small collection of vegetable, herb, and flower seeds. We welcome seed donations, too!
