Time to grow! Check out our small collection of vegetable, herb, and flower seeds. The seed library is available before and during the 2026 growing season. Also, seed donations are accepted and welcomed!

Teens will help brighten the library by planting flowers in our outdoor planters. Then, they will get a to take home a mini planting kit to grow something of their own.

Ready to write the next great novel—or finally finish that story you started ages ago? Join us for a relaxed writing session where you can devote two uninterrupted hours to your novel. This is your time to settle in and let the words flow.

Explore the Luther Library in a new way by completing the monthly scavenger hunt! Each month is a different theme and you earn a prize for finding all the hidden pictures.

Join us for a pick & paint art session! Kids will get to choose one special item—anything from our collection of objects—and bring it to life with your own colors and imagination. There’s no right or wrong way to paint it.

Join us for a creative, hands-on celebration at our Macramé Juneteenth Flag Workshop! No macramé experience? No problem! If you can tie your shoes (or at least convincingly pretend to), you’re more than qualified.

Transform ordinary paper bags into field books worthy of any explorer with fiber artist Darci Lenker! Learn simple techniques to bind your own excavation log to record discoveries, sketch fossils, or write about dinosaur adventures.

Blast off with your imagination at the Ralph Ellison library Lego Club. Lego dreamers of all ages and experience levels welcome.​
