We have made little creatures-- figurines of various animals and materials-- for thousands of years! Learn about the history of these little items and what we think they may have meant to the people who made them. Then try making your own!

Join us for a fun and sustainable way to refresh your craft stash! The Community Craft Supply Swap is a free event where artists, crafters, and makers can bring gently used or unused craft supplies to share—and find new treasures to take home.

Art is for anyone at any age! Help the littlest artists in your life explore drawing, painting, and so much more as we create beautiful, messy art.

Join us every week for Tots Thursdays! Each week is filled with exciting activities designed to stimulate your child’s development while having a blast! Every month, we rotate through four themes:

Let your imagination soar at our toddler art time! We will use an assortment of odds and ends to create our very own works of art. A librarian will be on hand to provide you with all the resources you need to spread your artistic wings!

Interested in knitting or learning how to knit?

Love knitting, crocheting, or other fiber arts? Join us on the second Saturday of every month! Bring your works in progress and connect with fellow crafters of all skill levels.

Bring your own quilting or other project and get a chance to work on it with like-minded people. They'll even offer advice if asked. Be sure to check out a quilting book from our collection!

Learn about the art of inflatables from local artist Katelynn Knick!

Join us at Choctaw on the first Sunday of every month for Family Movie Afternoon. There will be crafts that go along with the movie and interactive "scripts" to keep children engaged. And of course popcorn and drinks will be provided!

Do you love painting, drawing, sculpting, or just being creative? Then join us on the 2nd Friday of every month at 2PM to learn about a new art method or material!

Celebrate Oklahoma author Ralph Waldo Ellison with a special program led by the Oklahoma Hall of Fame! 

Come hang out at Ralph Ellison Library on February 8th at 3 PM and make your own fun animal or even a monster hand puppet!

Love creepy crawlies or just want to learn a cool new skill? Join us for a fun, hands-on embroidery workshop where you’ll learn basic stitches and create your own bug-inspired art!

Are you an adult who enjoys coloring? Have a nice social visit with other adults and bring your coloring supplies! We will also have some coloring sheets and art supplies available. 

You can either catch the love bug or make one.  An age and subject appropriate book will be read to the group.  Then we'll put together one or more "love bugs" with the provided craft supplies.

Join us for Imagine Lab at the Belle Isle Library! Each week, kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade will take part in a new activity designed to spark creativity and encourage learning.

Gather with other teens in an open and welcoming after-school space where everyone is free to be who they are. We will share experiences and do fun activities including small crafts.

Join us for a different STEAM activity each Tuesday! All ages welcome!

Enjoy a tasty meal provided by the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, then get creative with exciting Arts & Crafts. Each week brings a new activity, so there's always something fun to do while spending time with friends.

Hang out at the library and make art. There will be new prompts and media to use each week. All supplies will be provided. 

This is a teen program open to ages 12-17.

Looking for an easy, personalized gift for your loved one or just wanting to treat yourself this Valentine's Day? Come paint a flower pot and pick out a succulent to plant in it! All materials will be provided. 

Have you visited our Kindness Rock Garden near the front door? Now you can add your own hand-painted rock to it and take one home for yourself too!

We will be making cute small rope baskets to keep those small things handy.  Those little things such as the remote, decks of cards, and the many other little things that seem to collect with no home of their own.
