The Metropolitan Library System (MLS) is actively monitoring the outbreak of the novel coronavirus strain “COVID-19” which has been detected in numerous countries including the United States and Oklahoma County. Out of an abundance of caution for the safety of the public, all library locations will temporarily close effective 6pm on Sunday, March 15th and will stay closed for at least two weeks. As a result of this closure, we have temporarily stopped taking suggestions for purchase of physical items.
While our physical libraries may be closed, we will continue to provide the many digital services you can access from home, such as e-books and e-audiobooks; streaming movies and TV services; free access to magazines and newspapers; and more.
If we don't own a title in a digital format (i.e. eBook or eAudiobook), you can search the OverDrive catalog for the title and in the Didn't find what you were looking for? section on the bottom of the search results page, you may click Recommend for us to considering adding this title to our collection.
At this time, we are unable to process any Interlibrary Loan requests on behalf of our patrons. If you have any previously requested ILL materials, please hold on to them and return them to a Metropolitan Library branch when we reopen. No ILL loans will accrue fines during this time. We are sorry for this inconvenience and are looking forward to assisting you with your ILL needs as soon as we are able.
