Join us for a couple hours of painting and relaxation! We'll be guided through a step-by-step video tutorial by an artist to paint a masterpiece while we chat and enjoy some light refreshments. 

Bring your own quilting or other project and get a chance to work on it with like-minded people. They'll even offer advice if asked. Be sure to check out a quilting book from our collection!

Brighten up your January with some Perler bead fun! Kids can design and melt their own colorful creations to take home. Come get creative and add a pop of color to the winter season!

The New Year has passed, but winter has only just begun! Drop by this come-and-go event and make winter-themed crafts, and enjoy the company of others! Open to ages 10 and up. 

Come join us as we turn simple-looking paper strips into beautiful art by paper quilling. Paper quilling involves rolling, looping, curling and shaping paper strips and then combining them to create designs. 

Calling all homeschoolers! Join us as we get together to hang out with other homeschool kids and teens to connect. We will play socializing games, discover new books, play games, make crafts, and more!

Join us for a creative program series exploring the art of bead weaving.  Using colorful seed beads and simple weaving techniques, you'll create your own one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art.

Discover the joys of bookbinding at the Choctaw Library! In this program we will learn how to create a handsewn sketchbook/journal using a simple technique and few household items. 
 

Bundle up your imagination and join us for a cozy evening of winter LEGO building! Create snowy houses, frosty forests, ice rinks, sleds, snowmen, and more. Work on your own masterpiece or help build a big community Winter Village together.

Bring your own project and materials and knit, crochet, or sew your way through the afternoon with members of the community who share your enthusiasm for crafts. All types of fiber arts welcome!

Artist Sarah Sullivan Sherrod paints on her own weaving, combining two media to create a new piece. Kids and teens can explore combining two elements at the library.

Join us on Thursdays in the Makerspace for a quick crafternoon! Each Thursday, guests will have the opportunity to complete a quick craft using the equipment in the MLS Studio.

We will be transforming simple paint stir sticks into a functional and stylish message board with key holders.  It will have hooks, keeping your keys and other essentials neatly organized.

Join us for some needle felting fun as we make some snow people. Take a couple of minutes before you arrive to consider what kind of snow people will emerge from your needle and wool: whimsical, creepy, weepy, happy or something else.

Blast off with your imagination at the Ralph Ellison library Lego Club. Lego dreamers of all ages and experience levels welcome.​
