Its Origin and How to Make a Piece of Art Based on Kente Patterns

Whether you’re a seasoned stitcher or just picking up your first pair of needles, our club is the perfect place to connect, create, and unwind.

Adults 16+ Come join us in making beads out of paper. There will be a short introduction to the history of the beads and their uses, and then you will learn different methods to create different styles of beads.

ODMHSAS will be talking about conversations we can/need to have with loved ones who are depressed and may be contemplating suicide. They will be providing suggestions for the words we can use and resources we can refer.

Community agencies focusing on wellness will host a table with information about their services.

Let's paint some rocks! This event is in collaboration with the Village Arts Association. We invite all ages to participate: come enjoy creative time and make some colorful rocks that will be placed in the Village Civic Plaza!

Love creepy crawlies or just want to learn a cool new skill? Join us for a fun, hands-on embroidery workshop where you’ll learn basic stitches and create your own bug-inspired art!

Come join us to make a Valentine themed bracelet for yourself or for someone as a Valentine's Day gift. No experience required. All materials and tools will be provided.

Teens, join us and learn acrylic painting techniques! This month, we will be painting a cute heart garland. You will leave with a completed painting.

Draw a map with us! We'll learn a little bit about some map creators and their maps of real and imaginary places, and then draw some maps. We provide the tools and inspiration-- come and see what your imagination can do!

Pages & Prose Parcel is a four-month library book box subscription service geared toward children ages 8 – 14. Children up to age 18 may sign up, but the highest reading level of books selected will be Junior Nonfiction or Juncior Fiction.

Join us at Choctaw on the first Sunday of every month for Family Movie Afternoon. There will be crafts that go along with the movie and interactive "scripts" to keep children engaged. And of course popcorn and drinks will be provided!

The August 2025 Culture Crew Participants began creating a Community Mosaic.  The puzzle pieces already created at this time are being displayed at the Del City Library.

Join us for Storytime at the Midwest City Library! Skilled librarians will introduce little ones to the library and share valuable information about reading readiness with parents and caregivers.

Playing with your baby or toddler is not only important for bonding but is also an educational experience for your child. We are providing a special time for you to come to the library and spend one-on-one time playing with your little one.

Join us every Monday as we read stories, dance, sing songs, and play! Little ones will be introduced to early literacy concepts while playing and interacting with other kids their age.

Learn ways to improve your overall mind, body, and spirit through a series of slow continuous movements.

Improve your reading and other basic skills in this class made possible by Community Literacy Centers. This class meets every Monday and Wednesday from 10:00 am-12:00 pm.
