Welcome to a special story time brought to you by KAPWA OKC. Your little one will hear a story from the Philippines about the colorful Vinta boats and make their very own mosaic painting of the boats to take home. 

Origami Challenge

Adults16+ Come join us in creating plastic flowers. These are versatile and can be made into jewelry, or just great decorations. These are made using shrink plastic and they shrink to about 1/3 of their original size.

Capture the magic of transformation by turning a simple, single-color shape into a piece of art. Navigate an obstacle course filled with sensory challenges and imaginative play.

We all love comic book characters, from Superman to Dog Man. Now kids can learn to make their own characters and practice sketching them to put them into stories!

Join OKC Museum of Art as they lead participants in a craft related to the museum's collection. 

A hat is a canvas too! Participants will use Sharpie markers and rubbing alcohol to design an accessory as unique as they are. Come "Color Our World" one hat at a time!

Participants will learn how to mend holes in clothing using stitches meant to be seen. Bring one woven (non-stretchy) item with you to mend, like a pair of jeans with a hole. 

Come celebrate color and creativity with Science Museum Oklahoma! We’ll be making alcohol inks pool and flow on clear plastic to create vibrant bursts of color.

Join us for a fun workshop to learn about the amazing art of Edgar Heap of Birds, a Native American artist. You'll see how he uses words and pictures to tell important stories about history and Indigenous people.

Participants will learn the process of creating a comic strip with characters, story ideas, and layouts. Been a longtime fan of favorites like Peanuts, Garfield, and Calvin & Hobbes? Now you can make your own!

Are you an adult who enjoys coloring? Have a nice social visit with other adults and bring your coloring supplies! We will also have some coloring sheets and art supplies available.

Teens, join us for an evening of Perler Bead madness! Patterns will be provided, or you can create something from your own imagination. Participants will leave with a finished piece of Perler Bead art. Come see what you can create!

Bring your own project and materials and knit, crochet, or sew your way through the afternoon with members of the community who share your enthusiasm for crafts. All types of fiber arts welcome!

Join OKC Museum of Art as they lead participants in an art project related to the museum's collection. 

Participants will learn how to create a soft sculpture out of wool with needle felting. Follow along with Darci Lenker from Oklahoma Contemporary for step-by-step instructions or make your own creation!

Join us for an art reception featuring an exhibit of  works of tiny art from our Belle Isle Library community members.  Light refreshments will be provided.
