Want to be a more confident reader? Build "pawsitive" self-esteem and improve your reading skills while reading aloud to certified therapy dogs at the library.

Join us for Imagine Lab at the Belle Isle Library! Each week, kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade will take part in a new activity designed to spark creativity and encourage learning.

A cozy, fun-filled space where kids choose a themed book to read aloud with a sibling, friend, parent, or librarian. After reading time, enjoy games that introduce and reinforce literacy skills, like Bananagrams, Sequence Letters, and Quiddler.

Come build with us! We supply the bricks and you supply the imagination! This is a recurring event that takes place on the first Tuesday of each month at the Midwest City Library. Similar events take place at other locations.

Practice makes perfect in sports, and the same is true in school. Research has shown that the best way for children to improve their reading, math, and science reasoning skills is through practice.

This program has 2 sessions. Please register for either 6-6:30 pm OR 6:30-7 pm. Each reader must be registered individually.

We are celebrating International Dot Day at the library! Wassily Kandinsky and Yayoi Kusama are two artists known for using dots; plus there are many pointillism artists to be inspired by.

Join us for a storytime at your neighborhood library! Today, we are exploring the amazing world of ants. Practice early literacy skills through games, crafts and observations.

Bring your own project and materials and knit, crochet, or sew your way through the afternoon with members of the community who share your enthusiasm for crafts. All types of fiber arts welcome!

Ready, set, roll! Come to the library and build your own marble run using cardboard, cups, and other cool supplies. Whether it’s your first time or you’re a marble run pro, this program is all about experimenting, building, and having fun.

Homework Help and Reading Buddies Get Together. 

Join us for a meet and greet hour. We will have volunteers and staff to get to know, some fun games, and snacks to get the school year started. 

Kids and Teens, please join us in making backpack charms with Pony Beads.  You can hang these on your backpack or anywhere for decoration. You can make animals, characters, or anything your imagination thinks up!

Take a break! Join us to meet new friends or spend time as a family playing together. Playing tabletop games helps to build skills such as: problem solving, teamwork, spatial reasoning, and communication.
