Program Description

Event Description

Mousetrap Cars!

This month, get ready for a high-energy engineering challenge! Students will design and build their own mousetrap-powered cars, using only the energy stored in a single mousetrap to make their vehicle move. The goal? Engineer a car that can travel the farthest distance or reach the greatest speed. Participants will explore the principles of energy, motion, and design while racing to see whose mousetrap car performs the best!

Due to the complexity of the project and the limited time available to complete it, children under 10 years old are required to have an adult or an older sibling attend the class with them to assist with the project.

Hot glue guns will be used.

STEM Club is geared toward approximate ages 9 -14, but any students up through 18 are welcome.
