Bow and Arrow
This month we’re building our very own Bow and Arrow! This project is quick to make and super fun to use once it’s finished. As you design and construct your bow, you’ll discover how potential energy (energy stored when you pull the bowstring back) turns into kinetic energy (the energy that launches the arrow forward).
You’ll also learn how strong structures are built so your bow is sturdy and works great.
Read. Build. Aim. Fire! Get ready for a hands-on adventure in science and engineering.
Due to the complexity of the project and the limited time available to complete it, children under 10 years old are required to have an adult or an older sibling attend the class with them to assist with the project.
Hot glue guns will be used.
STEM Club is geared toward approximate ages 9 -14, but any students up through age 18 are welcome.
