Program Description

Event Description

Make an old-school "beaded" jump rope and then play jump rope games or do stunts with it! This kit includes jumbo plastic straws and 7 feet of rope. Handouts include: The Benefits of Jump Rope for Kids, with links to a jump rope work out and to a tutorial on teaching younger children how to jump rope; Make Your Own Jump Rope (instructions); Classic Kids' Jump Rope Songs & Rhymes; Single Rope Stunts; and the GetaJumponIt activity by Crazy 8s/Bedtime Math. The only thing you'll need is a pair of scissors to cut the beads and a lot of jiggles to JUMP out!

Kits are one per FAMILY. Any duplicate registrations will be deleted. Kits can be picked up at Northwest Library from Wednesday January 6th through Saturday January 9th during curbside pickup hours. Registered customers must pick up kits by Saturday 4 PM or call the library at (405) 231-8650 to make alternate pick up arrangements as any remaining kits will be made available to waitlisted customers on Sunday.

All print outs and instructions will be posted here on Sunday January 10 so that families with siblings or others who may not have had the opportunity to register can reproduce the kit at home.
